Erasing Lyrics

I have entered lyrics but want to change some them. I use A, T1, select the chord, undo, backspace, type over the existing lyric, but nothing works. I can't find help for the problem under ? Am I missing something? Thanks.

    Hi Alan,

    As on the latest version, you can use the eraser tool to delete lyrics by tapping on the text.
