Articulation in playback

I have just started using symphony pro and noticed that when I add a tie across 2 measures, it still rearticulates the 2nd note or cord when I play it back.
It did this 2 out of three times, but one time it did just hold the cord over. Not sure what I did differently. Any thoughts?
