movements within a score: adding, editing, deleting
I note that currently the only way to create a new movement is to place an end bar in a measure, after which the dialog box asks whether you want a new movement. It's a bit quirky because sometimes that section also needs a repeat.
Also, the new movement will not have a time signature at the beginning if the signature stayed the same. Can creating a new movement be turned into a proper command?

Sorry for overlooking your excellent question.I note that currently the only way to create a new movement is to place an end bar in a measure, after which the dialog box asks whether you want a new movement. It's a bit quirky because sometimes that section also needs a repeat. We appreciate you letting us know. It's indeed a limitation that the end bar needs to be specified first. For the time being, you can still add a repeat sign at the end of a movement, after taking the following steps:
- Change the bar line to an end bar, then
- Choose the Create New Movement option in the dialog box.
However, let us know if you are not getting this to work. We also acknowledge that having to specify an end bar line makes the interface confusing, which needs to be improved in the near future. Also, the new movement will not have a time signature at the beginning if the signature stayed the same. Can creating a new movement be turned into a proper command?Currently, there isn't a way to do exactly this, unfortunately, and we will keep this feature in consideration. A related feature is that you can specify the Time Signature to appear at the start of every line by opening Score Menu > Display Settings > Time Signature. Next, turn on Display for Every Line.0 -
Nope, if you place a repeat bar after placing a 'create new section' bar, the section will be rejoined to the previous.
Note:
I'm going to send you a separate email with a .sym file attached to show this and other issues.
