pickup/anacrusis

I'm exploring and working with this wonderful product.
I'm a bit stymied by the anacrusis feature. I can get the anacrusis in (although the manual incorrectly states that in the 'Measure Dialog' the bottom menu must have the 'Bars' option selected, where in fact it is the 'Time/Key' option). However, I succeeded in getting both the anacrusis and main time signature in only once. On the second try, the time signature disappears when I place the anacrusis (so there is no time signature at all at the beginning), or I get both the custom time signature (for the anacrusis) AND in the next measure, the main time signature.

Sorry to hear about your issue.On the second try, the time signature disappears when I place the anacrusis (so there is no time signature at all at the beginning), or I get both the custom time signature (for the anacrusis) AND in the next measure, the main time signature.Regarding the above, we need to provide additional clarification in our help section. Specifically:
- When specifying a project time signature or time signature change, the Measure Dialog menu must be opened on measures that are after the pickup measure. Changing the time signature property for a pickup bar doesn't currently do anything.
- When specifying that a measure is a pickup measure/anacrusis specifically, the meaning of the Custom Time (and therefore "time signature") field is different in this context.
-- In particular, in this context, the app expects that the Custom Time field (in Measure Dialog > Time/Key) corresponds to the number of beats of the pickup bar. For example, if the Custom Time is 1/4, then this specifies that the pickup measure contains a quarter note. This can be customized to a different value, such as 3 quarter notes, or 1 eighth note by specifying this under Custom Time.
- Since this feature was implemented, however, the app is a lot more flexible with how many notes can be added to a pickup bar, and therefore, specifying a Custom Time signature for a pickup bar may not do anything. The above requirements, however, still apply. The Time/Key menu (as of 6.5.2) must be opened on the measures after the anacrusis in order to correctly edit the project time signature or to add a time signature change.
