Crescendo/Decrescendo Symbols

I am using SP 6 for iPad.  After placing crescendo < and decrescendo > markings above the indicated staff in the beginning section of the the same piece, the application will no longer allow me to drag the symbol above the staff.  Why is this happening?

    Score expressions and dynamics are currently locked from being moved vertically such that they collide with the staff/ledger lines, and dynamics follow the convention of being below the staff. However, we can certainly make this a possibility and will keep this of feature in consideration, especially since it is simple to add.
