USB Cable for iPad to Keyboard

I recently purchased a USB cable on amazon described as appropriate for connecting a keyboard to an iPad Pro 4th Generation. Of course it didn't work and when I contacted the seller they told me it only works with certain apps like cubase etc and not with symphony pro. They didn't know why. Anyway, I'm wondering if someone could suggest a specific cable, brand etc that they know works with SP on ipad 4thgen to keyboard (casio). Thanks in advance! - MrDavid
