This isn't a feature yet but is a great suggestion. For now we hope that the repeat notes option (which applies to a note selection/sequence of any length, including entire measures), might be helpful. It should be more convenient than invoking copy/paste in your case. Instructions on how to use the repeat notes feature are provided here:
