hi I am new to the forum. I bought synphony in 2011 and would be interested in the new handwriting function, is it compatible with ipad 4 generation and generic pencil? Is it a function to be purchased separately?

We can confirm that iPad 4 is supported. It's a separate upgrade, but will remain the only in-app purchase, so all updates and improvements to the app including the handwriting feature will be free.
