Is there anyway I can manually configure the layout of a score in symphony pro? Especially in order to define the number of bars that stretch across the page?

This is a planned feature. It should be included soon after 2.0.

Yes, I understood that this next release (2.0) would give us the ability to determine how many bars per line....it's really essential because
most people I know hate sight-reading charts I give them where the 4 bar and 8 bar phrases/sections are messed up because of the layout...
hope it's fixed soon!
