Voice layers look terrible

Trying pressing & holding the Voices (V1) icon. Next to each voice number, there will be a switch corresponding to its stem direction (as illustrated below).

In your case, inverting the on/off setting for both layers should resolve the issue. If other parts of your score are also affected, this would be the easiest solution by far.
