Trouble getting score to play

Hello,
I am having trouble getting one of the sample scores to play within symphony pro.  At this point, I do not have a midi controller hooked up.  I am just trying to get it to play using my iPad and clicking the play button.  Just to add, I am using symphony pro with the builtin screen reader on the iPad Voiceover.  Thanks for any help,
