I am writing a piece in which I am attempting to modulate to a new key in the middle of the song. Every time I attempt to do this the key for the entire song changes. How can I change the key in the spot I wish for it to change?
To transpose key in the middle of a score, first find the measure you want to begin the tranpose. Then open the Measure Dialog, which you can do with a shortcut gesture by tapping once on the measure with two fingers. At the bottom of the dialog, select 'Time/Key' and then the new key you want. Dismiss the menu to apply the change, and select whether you want to transpose the notes up or down in the menu that appears afterwards.
