How can I delete a post?

It would really be great, if I could delete a post.  I sort of answered my own question.  I'd now like to delete that post.

I am a Newbie here so I'm not sure, but it looks like if you click on your own post, on "edit" under "options", you could delete your text. No idea if this works, but it seems to be the way...?

Thanks for the reply.  I've tried that before.  The result is that the site interprets this as one trying to submit a blank post.  This is not allowed.
